Diesel fire and the fumes from these types of fires are harder on us than most other fires because the fumes are more toxic to us. As diesel smoke is linked to cancer-causing chemicals like arsenic, benzene, and formaldehyde, which are all in diesel fuel, the toxic fumes on our bodies inside and out are extremely higher than most of the fires that might get started by regular gasoline. All types of gas fires are bad, but they say that a fire from diesel is the worst.
If you work in a place that has equipment run by diesel, you are better off to make sure that you aren't in the path of the fumes that are coming off of this machine and if you do happen to get in the line of these fumes, then you should have the good sense to move out of its way and not stay in the path and not to stand there and breathe the fumes. It won't take long for these fumes to overcome your lungs, and this will do major damage to your lungs |
